Consumers are rapidly losing their choice to ethanol-free fuel at neighborhood stations...
The widespread transition to E10 as a conventional fuel type in recent years has left many without the appropriate fuel type (without alcohol) recommended by their engine's manufacturer.
- Those who purchased gas with over 10% ethanol or used gasahol in an engine type not designed to tolerate alcohol, are well aware of the damage it can cause.
No laws exist that require gas stations to monitor the amount of ethanol added!
Most state inspectors do not even check ethanol content at the yearly station certification.
- Many fuel distributors no longer offer ethanol-free fuel "pure-gas" and when they do they usually charge 20 to 30 cents more per gallon.
Ethanol blending tax credits (up to 53 cents/gallon in some states) offer a profit motive for over-blending and sale of E10 & E15.
In certain locations illegal over-blending is rampant -E.G. 10% ethanol is blended in at the terminal and then the fuel distributor adds another 10% ethanol (result= E20 or higher) to profit from government tax credits.
- Low level ethanol blends are unstable due to rapid water contamination.
We strongly urge you to test percent ethanol of gasoline before purchase. Always report contaminated gas to gas station owner (corporate office) and the government office in your state that oversees gas quality (often the Dept. of Agriculture Division of Weights & Measures oversees gas quality).
As a consumer, I should be able to decide and buy my choice for the best fuel type, recommended by my engine's manufacturer for all of my gas-powered motors. Today, the EPA, ACE, ethanol producers, and other government, private and public companies, control that decision.
I own or use engine(s) that require and/or perform best on NON-alcohol fuel types, including:
(Include engine year, type, model and manufacturer gas recommendations, if applicable)
Due to the limitation of only ethanol-blends (E10 gas) being sold in my neighborhood of, _________________________ I have experienced negative and unnecessary consequences and added expense. (Include town, county, state).
By signing this petition, I join thousands of other voices that believe the EPA must immediately take action to protect my right and freedom to choose a non-ethanol gas type, by requiring the availability of an alcohol-free gas pump in every town and/or 10 mile radius area where gas is sold to the public.
* (Include information supporting why E10 and E15 is not the correct fuel type for your engine(s).

Complete petition below to protect your right to choose "non-ethanol" gas types in the future...
Petition published below is a condensed, shorter version for those unable to complete details in longer (original) petition.
We strongly urge all to complete the longer version (should take less than 5 minutes to complete) since the data/details provided will prove that ethanol-free fuel is required and necessary.
We believe both the EPA, ACE and others are unaware of the actual damage and expense E10 has caused so many. Engine manufacturers are just beginning to understand the long-term damage ethanol can cause...
Add details to comment section of petition - Engine and E10 gas problems might include:
Decreased gas mpg and increased fuel costs; Gas contamination due to water absorption; Part(s) disintegration, deterioration and/or damage; Expense(s) incurred for repair or replacement of engine; Performance issues; (decreased engine power, hesitation, stalling, etc); Need for prolonged gas storage; Bought contaminated E10 gas; E10/E15 is not the fuel type recommended by your engine manufacturer, and more -
