Gas that is water contaminated separates into 2 or 3 visible layers - Above sample has over 50% alcohol/water - See lower layer, revealed by testing with 1 drop Quik-Check. (Petroleum upper cloudy layer, does not absorb QC).
Right: Non-ethanol gas (no alcohol or water) -
Blue Quik-Check drop settles to bottom.

" I am a Arctic Cat Dealer for 25 years. I have EFI 2 Stroke engines that have in tank fuel pumps. These pumps are failing in less than 5 miles. I have proven this senario on 5 different ocassions-5 different sleds-5 different brands of E-10 fuel. The pumps are failing right out of the crate. Fuel lines are deterioriating-supposedly "fuel compatable" lines from the factory as OEM. I have never witnessed this before. What is happening to the pumps? HELP!!! "
Fuel-Testers Note: Inquiry sent to Artic Cat corportate office asking if engines parts/motors have always been designed to be resistant to E10 fuel, awaiting response...

" Motor siezed after running gasoline with 10% ethanol -Reporting that my 3 year old woodsplitter with a Briggs & Stratton 6.5 hp motor seized up. Oil was fine and could not figure out what or why until I found this website. Not very happy. Please advise. "
