Hint: Always also review section of gasoline MSDS pertaining to "solubility in water".
Hess MSDS 9950 states:
SOLUBILITY (H2O):
Non-oxygenated gasoline - negligible.
Gasoline with ethanol is readily soluble in water.
Hess published above ingredients in MSDS dated 09/25/07.

ALL GASOLINE CONTAINS: Refined petroleum. Saturated hydrocarbons (aka paraffins, alkanes) are the major component of gasoline.
GASOLINE USUALLY WILL ALSO CONTAIN: olefins or alkenes, (E.G. 1-pentene, 2-methyl-2-butene), cycloalkanes or naphthenes: (E.G. cyclopentane, cyclohexane), oxygenators (E.G. ethanol, ETBE), octane enhancers, aromatics, blending agents,
preservatives, fuel conditioners and stabilizers, detergents, dyes and more...
Note: All brands and grades of gasoline vary widely, and ingredients such as ethanol are added locally, not at the fuel company refinery.
To review different brands of gasoline ingredients, review company's published MSDS of product.
